Formerly Steppin - Update October 26, 2014

Gracie, formerly "Steppin", was adopted by Karen King in February of 2012. Karen said that Gracie was born in May of 2002 and that she "was and still is a lovely girl." Gracie received her TDI (Therapy Dogs International) certification in August of 2012 and has done therapy work at the Detroit VA Hospital as well as several area group homes. Karen states, "Gracie has been nothing but a most wonderful blessing to all. Thank you for making it possible to have her in our lives. Her spirit is as lovely as her face."

Here are some Gracie stories as told by Karen:

Gracie is too funny – she lets me take a short break (and I mean short) when I get home from work. Thanks, Gracie. Then she starts dancing around and keeps poking me relentlessly with that long nose of hers until I get the leash and we go out for a walk. Not to be cheated.

She's always slept in our bedroom on her memory foam dog bed (more comfortable than our bed - can you believe it?). Well, about four months ago she started going into the bedroom closet all the time to lay down. Guess she decided that it should be her “den”. So, we ended up cleaning everything off the closet floor and moved her memory foam bed in there to accommodate her. What we won’t do for them, yes??!!
